Tim Rock Music is a Norfolk-based (UK) company specialising in: Piano Tuning, Music Teaching, Music Composing and Recording, Script & Lyric Writing, Voice-Overs and Live Performance. 

Situated in a rural location (which offers the perfect backdrop for inspiration towards creative ideas) Tim Rock Music is fortunate over the years to have achieved its ever-growing client list via personal recommendation, which is a testament to the high quality of work and professionalism which we strive to maintain. 

A bit of background…..

Coming originally from the Midlands, I began my musical training at the age of 6, learning electronic organ and a few years later I moved onto piano and classical (church) organ. In the meantime, I studied brass instruments and after many grade exams, many performances, both as a solo performer and as part of a group (including orchestras and brass bands) and as an accompanist to choirs and operatic societies, followed by the inevitable Music Degree (1st class honours) and Post Graduate Certificate in Education and studying Piano Tuning and Repair, I moved to Norfolk in 2000 and spent 3 years teaching music in Secondary Schools.

My partner Lesley Miles, comes from a special needs educational background and after studying for a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at the Chicken Shed Theatre Company in London (1996-99) – working with vulnerable children and adults of all ages – she moved to Norfolk and decided to give opportunities to the young people in her local community, founding Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Company. She was looking for a Musical Director, so in 2002 I joined and together – along with many amazing volunteers over the years – we have watched it develop into a very successful and much-loved organisation

In 2005, links were established with Medwyn Goodall Music, a Cornwall-based music label, owned and run by the world reknowned instrumental artist, Medwyn Goodall and his wife Wendy, which has (so far) resulted in the completion of nearly 20 years of national and international projects for ‘MG Music’, as well as several projects which Lesley & I completed under the artist name ‘Threefold’. In the same year, Lesley & I founded ‘Tralam Creative Arts’, which has now amalgamated with Tim Rock Music,¹ where we still continue to provide scripts, lyrics and music (and suchlike) to many different organisations and individuals, subject to clients’ requirements.
